vapor viii

This week was fast and was one of the off weeks of being busy; it was a mainly chill week. I got my new soccer shoes I got the vapor viiis with the bottoms for playing on concrete and grass, they were a super ugly orange but I painted them flat black today and they are dope now haha.   

As for how the work is going here... We are really focused on D-lc- and F-rn-nd-. They were going to get baptized this coming Saturday but Ch-t- will be out of town, so we pushed it to the next Saturday. 

We also have a lot of new references that we haven’t been able to contact yet but hopefully this week we will be able to and find some news! yeee. 

Wednesday was 4th of July so a couple of us (Elder Argueta, Elder Mansfield and Elder Lowe) went to a steak house which was nice. I got a huge 16oz steak with salad and garlic bread, yum!!!! 

I love having allllll the food in my area haha. 

They don’t sell fireworks at this time of the year. Only fire crackers in rolls, and those go off all day and they aren’t very fun. So I just stuck with the steak and I'll celebrate extra at Christmas time for fourth of July. 

This change is half way over and it’s flying just like always haha. I don’t really have much to say this week so I’m going end this now. I love you all have a great week!

Woooooo! It was a great week! I’ll try to break it down in order.

Elder Argueta and Elder Asdel

Last Monday was my comps b-day as you know but after internet we ordered pizza. That’s the pizza picture! He’s now 24, haha it’s kinda funny my last two comps, who have less time in the mission than me, are older than me. 

Tuesday was super fun we painted Ch-t-’s sisters room. (Ch-t- is who got baptized a few weeks ago) We were there all day because it was a new add on to the house and the first few layers of paint didn’t stick to well. And tomorrow I’m pretty sure we will be painting his other sisters room...which is good cause I like painting hehehe.

Wednesday was normal we had district meeting and ate at burger king after. Thursday morning I went to the zone leaders area and worked in their area until Friday and one of the zone leaders came to my area to work with my comp. The pictures of all the stairs was that day, we went up like 300 stairs just to find out nobody was home haha o-well it was fun. I got a good picture up at the top with Elder Cheney and a member who came and worked with us.

Friday we put a baptismal date with F-rn-nd- y D-lc- (Ch-t-’s sisters) for the 15th of this month so we will be working with them alot to get them ready. Saturday was the big day, we had Ang--’s baptism in the morning and in the afternoon was the wedding, let me just say that it was great! No problems at all! I was in charge of taking videos and what not so I don’t have alot of fotos but I have some good ones enjoy. Sunday at night we were invited to an activity for future missionaries and I got to share all my fotos, which was super fun. Well that wraps up the week! Love you all have a great week!

Today is my comps bday so happy birthday to him haha. This week was good. My comp turned 24 today and I was thinking about paying for his dinner or something tonight because we have all the good food here. He got 2 packages from his family so don’t worry about any of that. 

Saturday we didn’t have a baptism, but a kid in the ward turned 8 that day and also had his baptism and we were there for that. 

We’ve now had the interview for Ang--’s baptism and she’s all ready. Now we just have to see how it plays out Saturday at the wedding/baptism. Its looking like it’s going to be really good! I’m super excited! 

Also right now we are working with D-lc- and F-rn-nd- (Ch-t-s sisters) and its been good. The dad is a really nice guy too but the mom is less active. So hopefully we can win them all over soon. 

Also Wednesday they asked us to paint the inside of their house so that should be fun. I haven’t been able to do service for a while so I am excited! yeee.

Elder Asdel & Elder Argueta with Ch-t- and his family

Well it was a good week! It was a slow week because that’s how the last week of the change always is. But we had a baptism Saturday which was great. Ch-t- is who got baptized. He is 20 just a lil bit younger than me, and it was really cool cause his parents came out to the baptism and also his sister who we are working with right now. They also came to church on Sunday. 

My comp won the coin toss of who gets to do the baptism and I lost haha oh- well. 

Sunday we have a lesson with Ang-- and she is now ready for her baptism and wedding on the 30th, which should be a fun day. 

My comp and I don’t have changes so we will both be able to be there! yay!

Well I don’t have much to say but I do have pictures... and a picture is worth a 1000 words right? hihihiihihi well I do have some pictures in my new suit. It's a shiny brown. I don’t know if you’ll be able to tell in the pictures. Next I have a picture with Elder Gunnell when we completed 14 months with 10 months left we are holding out on our hands which is also the way to *tell people off in Guatemala haha. Heeeeey wassssup? This week was good. We have a baptism coming up Saturday, which I am excited about. His nickname is Ch-to but his real name is J-s- but Ch-to is 20 just a lil younger than me. He has been coming to church with us for the last 5 weeks and I asked him if he’s ready to get baptized and he said yes. And I said ok we have 2 options, fast or slow. And he picked fast so I put the date for the 16th of this month which is this coming Saturday. Also his sister has been coming to church with us and we have been trying to talk to her about baptism. But she is finishing school right now and is never home. But she will be another baptism when we get a chance to talk to her. 

Next is Ang-l-.  I learned a little more about her and it’s a pretty cool story. Ok so there is a foundation here to learn English after the mission for returned missionaries so they can get better jobs. Well there was this member from a different part of Guate and he never served a mission but wanted to go to the foundation and called and asked if her could go even though he was never a missionary and they said well we normally say no, but for some reason we are going to let you come study. Well the house he got assigned to stay in is in my area. So he has to go to church here in Atlantida. And after not to long he met Ang-l- and invited her to come to church with him... and now we are here planning there wedding. So obviously the lord set that one up for him to find his wife. So the wedding and baptism will be the 30th of this month. It should be a good day. 

Ok so Wednesday was temple day, which was cool because Elder Gunnell and I were talking, and we hit 14 months that day and the next day was exactly one year of being out of the CCM.  

After the temple I went home and while I was home Pres. Watts came over and I thought I was in trouble but it was just to tell me about Grandpa Asdel, which was nice of him to come to the house. At least I knew it was coming... it would have been really weird if I didn’t know it was coming. 

Well here I am in week 6 of this change. So this coming Sunday I will find out about changes. Who knows what will happen always a new surprise haha. So we will cross that bridge when it comes and I'll tell you what’s going on next Monday. 

Tomorrow there is a meeting for all of the missionaries of Guatemala in the Capital, which will be cool to look for my friends in other missions. Too bad Austin won't be there... I guess that was my last chance to see him but he’s not going hahaha sucks for him haha. 

Well that’s about it. My new suit is awesome, I love it. I’ll send pictures next week if I remember hehe okkkkkk that’s all love you all have a good week!

Hey today I will be quick because we have like a half p-day because Wednesday we are going to the temple. This week was weird we didn’t really get much done... but we have 2 baptisms for Saturday haha. 

The thing is Ang-l- got kicked out of her house and wants to move in with her boyfriend. So they are getting married asap and the baptism should be Saturday. 

Next a member's kid's papers never got into the computers and basically isn’t a member so we get to get a free baptism... which is funny that it will count for us and the zone has a goal for baptisms this month and it looks like we are the only ones getting close to the zone goal haha. 

Other than that I don’t really know what’s happening this week, it was a really fast one. 

I’m really enjoying the food here. I eat Subway and McDonalds all the time... I love it haha. 

This change is going really fast and I am enjoying my time with Elder Argueta. Yes his mom and siblings write him but none of them are members. I will get his email for you soon. 

That sucks about Grandpa Asdel. Tell him that I say hi and that the mission is going great and I love him and miss him for me. 

Well I’m getting low on time I am only using for 30 mins today and I’m going to go now love you all have a great week!!

Well this week was good. I got to do some fun service at an investigators house at the area of some other missionaries in my district. What we did was level out a room that had dirt floors, which was really hard cause the dirt was basically concrete haha. Also we took out a really nasty toilet. We had some fun. 

After that we needed to go pick up the clothes for F-rn-nd- for his baptism. So we took a bus to the zone leaders house. After that we came back to the church to go fill up the font and it was filled with mud because when it rains the fonts fill with nasty water. So we spent like an hour cleaning the font and getting it ready.

After that we went home for a lil bit and then went and invited all the youth from the ward to the baptism. Good thing we did that because all the married members went to some activity. So it was good to have all the youth there supporting him and afterwards everybody played soccer. It was a good baptism.

Sunday we had a lesson with Ang-l- and her baptismal date won't be till July because she is the girlfriend of a member and they aren’t planning on getting married until July. And if she gets baptized her mom will kick her out of her house. So if I’m sill here in July she will be an easy baptism. 

Today for p-day has been great... first we went to McDonalds breakfast, which was awesome. After that we decided to go to Wal-Mart and found dr pepper and mt dew on sale, so I will be sending some up to Elder Somers in Peten with a couple ties I found for him in megapaca. After Wal-Mart we wanted to go to megapaca but we decided to walk a different way and guess what we found in some corner of nowhere..............
a giant OFFICE DEPOT. It was great! I found so much great stuff, I will probably be going back and getting some more stuff hahaha. My comp and I were super excited haha. 

After that we went and met up with the zone to play soccer but nobody brought a ball so they played ultimate frisbee. I didn’t play. Now I’m here using internet. I hate using internet here it's the place I used when I was in Palencia and its in a old run down mall and its crappy haha. Well that’s about all I got. Love you all have a good week
